EV Charging Point Installation Bermondsey

A standard EV charger installation at a residential property typically takes between 2 to 4 hours, depending on the complexity of the job. Factors such as the length of cable runs from your consumer unit to the charging point location, and whether any upgrades to your fuse box or wiring are needed, can affect the overall time.

At PSC Electrical, we always carry out a full assessment of your property before starting any EV charging point installation in Bermondsey. This allows our team to plan the job efficiently, keep wait times to a minimum and ensure everything is completed to the highest standard with no surprises along the way.

In most cases, homeowners do not need planning permission to install an electric car charger at their property, as it falls under permitted development rights. However, if you live in a listed building or a conservation area, you may need to double check with your local council before going ahead with the installation.

As an experienced EV charger installer based in London, we at PSC Electrical can guide you through any regulatory standards or requirements specific to your Bermondsey property. Our team will make sure your charging point setup is fully compliant, so you can enjoy the convenience of charging your electric car at home without any worries.

The OZEV grant (previously known as the EVHS) can help towards the cost of installing an EV charging point at your home or workplace. Eligibility depends on several factors, including whether you have off street parking and the type of property you own. The grant can make a real difference in reducing the overall cost of your charger installation in Bermondsey.

At PSC Electrical, we are an approved installer and can handle the entire OZEV grant application process on your behalf. We take care of all the paperwork so you can focus on enjoying your electric vehicle, while we ensure your install meets every requirement to qualify for available funding.
